Ogden– The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following road construction and maintenance activities that may cause traffic impacts in the state’s Northern Region:
Aug 19-25: Work continues on the construction of an auxiliary lane on north-bound I-15, between the 500 West on-ramp in Bountiful, and Parrish Lane, work each evening beginning at 10 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next day. Most of the time all lanes will be open, but occasionally the far right lane may be closed to facilitate construction work. Due to additional projects being completed by Davis County, Pages Lane will be closed or restricted where it passes under I-15 until the end of September. Motorists on Pages Lane should use alternate routes, and I-15 motorists should pay attention to advance warning signs and move to the left when directed by them to do so. For more information about this project, contact the project team at 801-448-2930, e-mail Iemail@example.com, or visit the project website at http://udot.utah.gov/main/f?p=100:pg:0:::1:T,V:3424. Aug 21: On Sunday, August 21, I-15 north bound will be closed down to one lane, beginning at 4 a.m., for pipe work underneath the interstate. Lanes will progressively open throughout the day until all lanes are open by 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Motorists are advised to move to open lanes as soon as they see warning signs in advance of the closure, indicating that lanes are closed ahead. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using the Legacy Parkway.
Aug 22: Crews will be laying asphalt on SR-106 (400 North) between 800 West in West Bountiful and 200 West in Bountiful on Monday, August 22. Work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Lanes will be closed during this work, and flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should use 500 South in Bountiful, or 2600 South in North Salt Lake as alternate routes to I-15. Aug 22-25: Beginning Monday, August 22, crews will begin restorative work on the concrete underpass on SR-68 underneath the Bamberger Bridge at 500 W 200 South in Bountiful. This work will require a closure of the outside lane and will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. The work is scheduled to be completed finished by October.
Aug 21-23: The Region One Painting Crew will be painting cross walks on Harrison Boulevard (SR-203), from Sunday, August 21, to Tuesday August 23. Crews will work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. During this work, lanes will be closed alternately while a cross walk is painted. At least one lane will remain open at all times. The completion of this work is highly dependent on weather conditions and other factors. August 22-25: The Region One Painting Crew will be painting highway stripping on Harrison Boulevard (SR-203) on beginning, Monday evening, August 22. Crews will work between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists should stay behind the trailing vehicles with flashing lights to avoid getting wet paint on their vehicles. The completion of this work is highly dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Aug 21: Crews will apply a fog seal on the campus loop roadway (SR-284) at Weber State University. Work will be conducted between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. During these maintenance operations, lanes will be closed and flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Access to certain areas of each campus will be restricted or closed during these maintenance operations, so motorists should have alternate routes in mind as they approach the campus. Aug 19-25: On segment 1 (Washington Blvd. to Monroe Blvd.), of the 12th Street (SR-39) repaving project, centerline paving is complete between Liberty Avenue and Washington Blvd. The center section remains closed for curing, and traffic is moving on the outside lanes. A dedicated U-turn for both east bound and west bound motorists is located at Liberty Avenue. This section of 12th street is expected to open to traffic on August 31. Meanwhile, on segment 2 (Monroe Blvd. to Harrison Blvd (SR-203)), paving is underway, with one lane of traffic open in each direction and a center turn lane available during non-peak hours. Crews are working from 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 p.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Aug 19-25: I-15 is reduced to one lane in each direction in areas where reinforcing bars are being installed or roadway grinding is occurring, between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m., between US-91 (Exit 360) and the South Willard Interchange (Exit 351). Trucks and vehicles hauling trailers or boats are especially advised to reduce speeds and use caution in the area. On Tuesday, August 23, the northbound I-15 on-ramp at 750 North is scheduled to be closed that night and reopen by Wednesday morning, August 24. Following that closure, the southbound on- and off-ramps will be closed for one night each. All closures will occur in succession, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using US-89 as an alternate route. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and machinery adjacent to the open lane of travel. For more information, call 801-990-5555 email email@example.com.
Aug 19-25: Cable median barrier is being installed on I-15 between Calls Fort (milepost 365) and the Honeyville Interchange (Exit 372 to SR-240) in Honeyville. Lanes should rarely be restricted or closed, but motorists should be wary of vehicles suddenly pulling off or on to the roadway, and of workers and machinery working adjacent to open lanes of travel.
Aug 19-25: Concrete rehabilitation work on I-15 continues between 10th North in Tremonton and SR-30 in Riverside. Traffic is restricted to one lane both north and southbound between 10th North in Tremonton and SR-30 in Riverside for concrete rehabilitation work. Additionally, the northbound on- and off-ramps at the Riverside/SR-30 interchange (Exit 385) are presently closed, to accommodate cattle guard and concrete rehabilitation work. North-bound motorists on I-15 who use SR-30 to travel to Logan or other destinations to the east, should use 10th North (Exit 381) to NB SR-13 to SR-30 as an alternate route. Loads wider than 12 feet are prohibited through this project. Crews are working between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Call 801-990-5555, or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Aug 19-25: Workers are replacing guard rails and cattle guards on US-89 in Logan Canyon, between the Dugway and Beaver Mountain. As this work moves forward, lanes may be restricted or closed, with traffic directed by flaggers. This work will take until mid-September to complete. Delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected.
Aug 19-25: On Main Street (US-89 and 91) crews are adding a “micro seal” between the intersection of Main Street and SR-165 on the south end of town and 1000 North. Construction will involve both day and nighttime work, and the work will be completed in segments to minimize impacts to traffic. Nighttime work will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction while crews work in that section. Right-turn movements and cross-street access will also be restricted in these areas between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. No parking will be allowed on Main Street in the areas where crews are working, so plan ahead.
