Ewing believes his pro-businesses stance, experience qualify him for Logan Municipal Council

Jeff Ewing says he is “a pro-business type guy” and the Logan Municipal Council candidate says he feels his past experiences qualify him for the job. Ewing was a founder and former owner of Cinema 4 Theaters, he serves on the Logan School District’s community council and he’s employed at ATK in quality control and finance. Logan Mayor Randy Watts has vetoed the council’s decision to place a five-month moratorium on electronic message display signs. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Friday, Ewing said he goes along wth the mayor. “To tie the hands of people who are in business I don’t think is the right thing to do,” Ewing said. “I think what you need to do is settle it, make a decision, order the right restrictions rather than do the moritorium. “Even if it is just a five month moratorium, why not hammer it out, figure out what the right thing to do is in terms of illumination and size and then implement that?” Ewing says he sees that as a win-win situation. He is a strong supporter of the neighborhood center program recently approved by the council.
