A small 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck Southern Idaho Monday evening at 9:38 p.m. The shallow tremor was only .2 miles below the surface and was only a few miles from the Minnetonka Cave.According to the
<a href=”http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/uu00007641.php”>US Geologic Survey</a>
, the epicenter was 11 miles East Northeast of Franklin, Idaho and 11 miles West Southwest from St. Charles, Idaho.University of Utah seismograph stations picked up the quake. There have been reports of people feeling the tremor in Cache Valley and around Bear Lake. There are no reports of immediate damage.
