UDOT road construction projects for Northern Utah

<strong>Box Elder County</strong>

<strong>Willard to Brigham City</strong>

July 26-27: On Tuesday, July 26, and Wednesday July 27, the Region One Painting Crew will be painting highway stripping on US-89, from 2nd Street in Ogden to its junction with SR-13 in Brigham City. Crews will work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Motorists should stay behind the trailing vehicles with flashing lights to avoid getting wet paint on their vehicles. This work is highly dependent on weather conditions and other factors.

<strong>Brigham City</strong>

July 22-28: Crews continue working to re-pave US-91, from I-15 to US-89. Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday in the project area. Paving is expected to be complete by midweek. There will be uneven lane transitions between the new and old pavement, so please drive cautiously. Business accesses will remain open except when paving is taking place directly in front of the property. US-89/91 and local motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using alternate routes, such as US-89 at Perry and South Willard, and SR-13. July 22-28:: Crews on I-15 are performing concrete leveling in the rest area. On north-bound I-15, lane restrictions will be in place between milepost 351 (South Willard Exit) and 357 (750 North, Flying J Exit) for concrete rehabilitation work. Crews are also working on slot cutting and dowel bar placement, and concrete panel placement in the area. South-bound, crews will be working on slot cutting, placing dowel bars, and panel installation between 750 North and South Willard (Exit 351) this week. Ramp work is also underway at the 1-15/750 North interchange. Motorists should expect lane restrictions at the freeway on- and off-ramps in this area. Advance notice will be given of necessary closures. Larger vehicles, and vehicles hauling trailers or boats are especially advised to slow speeds and drive carefully in the area. No work will occur on July 24th in observance of the Pioneer Day holiday. Crews are working between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m., with traffic reduced to one lane. Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using US-89 as an alternate route. <strong>Honeyville</strong>

July 22-28: Cable median barrier is being installed on I-15 between Calls Fort (milepost 365) and the Honeyville Interchange (Exit 372 to SR-240) in Honeyville. Lanes should rarely be restricted or closed, but motorists should be wary of vehicles suddenly pulling off or on to the roadway, and of workers and machinery working adjacent to open lanes of travel.

<strong>Riverside</strong>

July 22-28: With concrete rehabilitation work between the I-84/I-15 Interchange and 10th North in Tremonton is nearly complete, crews are now working between 10th North in Tremonton and SR-30 in Riverside. Crews are working between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Project completion is expected by fall 2011. Traffic is restricted to one lane both north and southbound between 10th North in Tremonton and SR-30 in Riverside for concrete rehabilitation work. <strong>Logan</strong>

July 26: On Tuesday, July 26, work begins on Main Street (US-89/91) to remove and replace select concrete pedestrian access ramps where upgrades are needed to meet ADA standards. To accommodate this work, right-turn movements will be restricted where crews are working on the corners of selected intersections. Through-lane traffic will be maintained at all times. Work on pedestrian access ramps will be completed between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Crews will work to minimize impacts to business access. Parking is restricted in designated work zones. July 22-28: The intersection of 1800 South at 1000 West (SR-252) will be closed for concrete and asphalt tie-in paving. Local residential neighborhoods dependent on this intersection can use 1100 West, while truck traffic uses Hyclone Road to 1000 West as alternate routes. July 22-28: 1000 West (SR-252), between 200 North and 600 South, is closed (except for local traffic) to allow Logan City to install a new sewer line. The restriction is expected to last until August 19. Access for local traffic will continue for residents and businesses in this area with posted detours and traffic controlled by flaggers. July 22-29: The intersection of SR-30 (200 North) and SR-252 (1000 West) is closed until July 29. East-bound traffic on SR-30 detours off 200 North at 1225 West and proceeds to 400 North, crossing 1000 West and continuing to 950 West. At 950 West, traffic turns south to regain SR-30. Westbound traffic detours off 200 North at 850 West to 400 North, then proceeds westbound across 1000 West, regaining SR-30 at 1225 West. All services to truck traffic normally available in the 200 North 1000 West area, remains open during this closure and can be accessed directly from 200 North (SR-30). July 26: Demolition of the portions of the Logan River Bridge will begin this week. This work will take place at night, and 1000 West will be closed at the bridge nightly. However, this route will will be opened to traffic during the day. During the nightly closures, traffic should use Main Street (US-89/91) as a detour around this closure. July 22-28: On 2500 North, between US-91 to 600 West, crews are installing storm drain, beginning at the railroad tracks (500 West) and continuing east. July 26: On Tuesday July 26, the Region One Chip Seal crew will be working on SR-30 in the Sage Creek Junction area, near milepost 131. Work will progress from the west to the east, with traffic reduced to one lane in the area where work is taking place. Flaggers will be controlling traffic, so motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop as they approach this work. NO ON-STREET PARKING IS ALLOWED WHILE THIS WORK IS PROCEEDING. <strong>Woodruff</strong>

July 26-28: On Tuesday July 26 through Thursday, July 28, the Region One Chip Seal crew will be working on SR-39 west of Woodruff, between milepost 68 and milepost 47 near Monte Cristo Summit. Work will progress from the east to the west, with traffic reduced to one lane in the area where work is taking place. Flaggers will be controlling traffic, so motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop as they approach this work. NO ON-STREET PARKING IS ALLOWED WHILE THIS WORK IS PROCEEDING.
