Ex-Utah State QB set to break CFL touchdown mark

MONTREAL (AP) — Former Utah State quarterback Anthony Calvillo is a touchdown pass away from breaking the all-time Canadian Football League career TD record.Utah State’s media relations office says Calvillo is tied with Damon Allen with 394 touchdown passes after tossing five Saturday in Saskatchewan. Calvillo played at Utah State in 1992-1993 and could accomplish the feat in 18 seasons with the Montreal Alouettes. Allen needed 23 seasons to reach 394.Calvillo will have a chance to break the record Friday in front of his home fans when Montreal faces Toronto. Calvillo is also just 3,489 passing yards away from breaking Allen’s record for total career passing yards.
