Most roads in the Logan Ranger District are now open for summer use, except for Providence Canyon which has been damaged by extreme flooding. The Providence Canyon Road will remain closed to motorized vehicles, which also includes access to the Welches Flat Road until further notice. Spokeswoman Kathy Jo Pollock for the Logan Ranger District says there are barriers blocking access to the Providence Canyon Road and removing or going around the barriers is in violation of a road closure. Citations will be issued for illegal travel which can carry penalties from $175 to $5000 and/or up to six months in jail.
