Road construction report for Box Elder and Cache counties

<strong>Box Elder County</strong>

Brigham CityJuly 8-14: Beginning the night of July 8, crews will begin work toward repaving US-91, from I-15 to US-89. Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday in the project area. Paving is scheduled to take approximately 20 days to complete. There will be uneven lane transitions between the new and old pavement, so please drive cautiously. Business accesses will remain open except when paving is taking place directly in front of the property. US-89/91 and local motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using alternate routes, such as US-89 at Perry and South Willard, and SR-13. July 8-14: Crews on I-15 are performing concrete leveling in the rest area. On north-bound I-15, lane restrictions will be in place between the South Willard (Exit 351) and 1100 South (US-91 – Exit 362) interchanges. Crews are also working on slot cutting and dowel bar placement on the inside lanes between South Willard and the 750 North (SR-315 – Exit 357) Interchange. Crews are working on the outside lanes between 750 North and 1100 South. South-bound, crews will be working on slot cutting, placing dowel bars, and panel installation between 750 North and South Willard in the coming week. Ramp work will also take place at the 750 North interchange beginning July 11. Crews will begin work on the northbound off-ramp, which is expected to remain open though lane restrictions will be necessary. Crews are currently working between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m., with traffic reduced to one lane. Ramp work at 750 North will occur around the clock. Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider using US-89 as an alternate route. TremontonJuly 8-14: Concrete rehabilitation work between the I-84/I-15 split and 10th North in Tremonton is nearly complete. The off-ramp from southbound I-15 to 10th North is scheduled to close Thursday, July 14, for concrete rehabilitation and cattle guard work. The ramp will remain closed for approximately 7-10 days to allow the concrete to cure. Intermittent lane closures may be necessary before July 14 to prepare for the concrete rehabilitation work. Traffic is also restricted to one lane both north and south-bound between 10th North in Tremonton and SR-30 in Riverside for concrete rehabilitation work. HyrumJuly 11: From Monday, July 11, through Tuesday, July 12, the Region One Chip Seal crew will be work on SR-101, between Main Street in Wellsville and SR-165 in Hyrum. Work will progress from the west to the east, with traffic reduced to one lane in the area where work is taking place. Flaggers will be controlling traffic. Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop as they approach this work. Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider alternate routes. LoganJuly 8-14: 1800 South at 1000 West will be closed on Thursday, July 7, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for curb and gutter work. Local residential neighborhoods should use 1100 West, while truck traffic uses Hyclone Road to 1000 West as alternate routes. July 8-14: 1000 West, between 200 North and 600 South, is closed (except for local traffic) to allow Logan City to install a new sewer line. The restriction is expected to last until August 19. Access for local traffic will continue for residents and businesses in this area with posted detours and traffic controlled by flaggers. July 8-14: The intersection of SR-30 (200 North) and SR-252 (1000 West) is closed until July 29. East-bound traffic on SR-30 detours off 200 North at 1225 West and proceeds to 400 North, crossing 1000 West and continuing to 950 West. At 950 West, traffic turns south to regain SR-30. Westbound traffic detours off 200 North at 850 West to 400 North, then proceeds westbound across 1000 West, regaining SR-30 at 1225 West. All services to truck traffic that is normally available in the 200 North 1000 West area, remains open during this closure and can be accessed directly from 200 North (SR-30). July 8-14: On 2500 North, between US-91 to 600 West, crews have started to install the storm drain, beginning at the railroad tracks (500 West) and continuing east.
