The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists that the schedule to pave the intersection of 1000 West and 1800 South has been changed, and the work will now be conducted in two separate closings– the first occurring on Thursday, July 7, followed by a two week closure beginning Monday, July 18.To facilitate work on the 10th West (SR-252) Reconstruction Project in Logan, crews will close the intersection of 1000 West and 1800 South this Thursday to make preparations for paving work that will begin on Monday, July 18. This closure will allow crews to pave the intersection completely and obtain sufficient curing time of the concrete before the intersection reopens two weeks later.During this closure local residential neighborhood traffic should use 1100 South for access. Truck and employee traffic in the immediate area can use Hyclone Road or 600 West to the Logan River Bridge (closed beyond that point until further notice) for access to industrial facilities in this immediate area. Other traffic needing access further north on 1000 West can proceed east on US-89/91 to 100 West, then to Golf Course Road, and proceeding west to 600 West and north from that point; or Main Street (US-89/91) north to 200 North, and then west to the 600 West and 1000 West industrial areas via the marked detour routes.Motorists with time-sensitive travel through this area should plan their travel well before departing. For more information about this closure and assistance with accesses to the area, motorists or local residents can call 888-427-8585 toll-free, e-mail email@example.com, or visit http://www.udot.utah.gov/tenthwest.
