Stolen dump truck from Logan is found after it crashes into Murray home

A dump truck stolen from Spindler Construction in Logan was found crashed through a house in Murray Saturday night. According to Logan City Police, a report came in at 11:45 p.m. from a police agency in Murray that a dump truck registered to Spindler had just crashed into a house in Murray City. There are no reports of any injuries from the crash. Logan officers responded to Spindler Construction and found there was massive damage to the fenced gate at the rear entrance of their yard. The gate was missing and there were tire tracks and gouges in the concrete, asphalt and gravel going southbound from the yard and into a nearby parking lot. Officers followed the tracks and located an 18 wheeler semi truck with a flatbed heavy equipment hauler that was disabled from the large gate and fencing lodged between the truck and the trailer. Officers believe the suspect attempted to clear the debris and when the suspect was unable to, returned to the yard and took the dump truck that was later involved in the accident in Murray. As the suspect was pulling out of the yard in the dump truck, another vehicle in the yard was struck causing approximately $2,000 worth of damage to that vehicle. The case is still under investigation at this time. Police are seeking any potential witnesses to the burglary, the property damage or the crash in Murray or anyone that may have any information to assist in the apprehension of the suspect in this case.
