Housing organization celebrating 15 yrs of helping people build their own homes

Neighborhood Non-Profit is celebrating 15 years of service to local communities and also National Homeownership Month. Kim Datwyler, Executive Director of Neighborhood Non-Profit Housing Corporation, says the public is invited to help celebrate non-profit housing and the people who make it possible Tuesday. The event starts at 3 p.m. at the Andrews home, 732 North 500 East in Logan. “We are celebrating all our partners who have helped us provide housing to almost a thousand families,” Datwyler says. “We think that’s a milestone, a big event we want everyone to come enjoy.” Datwyler says the celebration of service doesn’t end there. “Wednesday evening at 7:30, for anyone that Neighborhood Non-Profit has worked with, we have reserved the (Logan) Aquatic Center and we’re going to just have a pool party.” Datwyler says a Mutual Self Help open house will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Park Place, 100 North 500 West in Smithfield.
