The 57-year-old man who was rescued from his burning home by Logan firefighters early Saturday is in stable condition at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.Logan Fire Marshall Craig Humphreys says the man was transferred to that hospital for special treatment. His name has not been released.Humphreys says he can’t say enough about how fortunate the Logan man is to be alive after a vehicle fire spread through the home at about 1 a.m. while he was asleep in bed. Police officers who arrived first at the scene relayed the man’s location to firefighters who were able to enter the home and rescue him.Humphreys is calling both the officers and firefighters “heroes.” He says the home and vehicle are a total loss.
