Suspect sought in theft of minerals, mammoth teeth from USU

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Authorities say someone stole about $3,000 worth of minerals, meteorites and mammoth teeth from the geology department at Utah State University.KSL-TV reports that police in Logan are still searching for a suspect.The school’s geology department head, David Liddell, says the thief broke in through a basement window last Saturday night and stole at least 10 fossils, 25 minerals and a computer.The school is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
