Former U.S. Senator, Astronaut to keynote Stevens-Henager commencement

Former U.S. Senator and Astronaut Jake Garn will be the keynote speaker when Stevens-Henager College of Logan holds its commencement ceremony Friday, May 13 at the Logan LDS Tabernacle.The commencement starts at 7 p.m. and 75 students will make up the 2011 graduating class. Sharla Lemon, campus director at Stevens-Henager, says the college has experienced a steady increase in enrollment and she is especially proud of this year’s graduating class.Lemon says Stevens-Henager has graduates who are moms and dads, those who balance earning their degree with maintaining a job and some who had not considered college as part of their plan until they found Stevens-Henager. She says as the graduates take their next steps they will be able to leverage their college degree and take a step toward a better life and career.
