Alcoholic altercation leaves one man injured, police looking for another

Logan Police are on the look out for a transient who allegedly beat up a 45-year old Logan man. Asst. Chief Jeff Curtis says Thursday afternoon it was reported to police that a man was passed out on the front lawn of 520 S. 100 W. in Logan, and he appeared to be bleeding and beaten up. The victim, 45-year old Raymond Russell, received a laceration to the right forearm and suffered facial injuries. Curtis says it appears alcohol was involved in the altercation. Curtis says the circumstances are still being pieced together but it appears that Russell received the injuries by falling through or being pushed through a storm door window. Curtis says witnesses reported to police that Russell was beaten up by 30-year old Ronnie Naleppa.
