More Utah Highway Patrol troopers will be on the roads this weekend in an effort to slow down speeding drivers and encourage motorists to buckle up. Lt. Lee Perry says Easter weekend typically sees more traffic on the roadways and a higher likelihood of impaired and aggressive drivers. Perry says the UHP has already talked to high school students in Box Elder and Cache Counties and will put extra troopers on the roads starting Thursday afternoon and throughout the weekend. He says they’ll focus their efforts on Friday and Sunday when the highest amount of traffic is expected.
