Floods and standing water prompt road closures

Several roads remain closed Tuesday in Logan until flood waters subside. Logan City closed 1700 South Monday night as water from the Blacksmith Fork River exceeded its banks, flooding the Riverside RV Park and coming onto the road. The road remains closed between 370 West and Talon Drive. The road is open to local traffic only between Highway 89/91 and the railroad tracks, at about 370 West.Park Avenue has also been closed between 1000 South and 1600 South, along the Logan River Golf Course, until flood waters recede. The street had significant standing water much of the day Monday. State Route 101 is also closed to local and official traffic only. Water levels along the Blacksmith Fork River remain high but are decreasing. Emergency officials continue to monitor water levels and potential danger spots.
