The Utah Department of Transportation advises motorists that 1000 West in Logan will be closed for two nights at 900 South beginning April 6 and ending Friday morning, April 8. UDOT spokesman Vic Saunders says the closure is necessary to facilitate utility work on the project. The closure will run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night. During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the closure point via 1000 South for northbound traffic and 600 South for southbound traffic. During the closure, motorists are encouraged to reduce their speed and be aware of their surroundings and drive cautiously. Local speed limits will be enforced and speeding fines are doubled in this construction zone.
