The after-school program Reach at Millville Elementary School has been awarded a $1000 UnitedHealth Heroes grant from Youth Service America and UnitedHealth Group. The grant supports youth-led service-learning initiatives addressing childhood obesity and healthy lifestyles.One of 333 grants awarded nationwide, Reach’s project is a community health fair hosted by students at Millville Elementary. The students have spent the semester planning and learning about health and will present that information at their Let’s Move Health Fair.The fair will be held on April 13 in connection with Global Youth Service day, the world’s largest and longest-running youth-led service campaign.
