USU art school hosting Fringe Film Festival

Thousands of dollars are up for grabs at the 2011 Fringe Film Festival presented by Utah State University’s Caine College of the Arts and the Logan Arthouse and Cinema. Entries must fit the 2011 Fringe theme, “Twitterpated: a Spring Love Comedy.”Those who wish to participate need to have their entry turned in to the Chase Fine Arts Center manager’s office with the official entry form by April 1.Denice Albiston, marketing director for the Caine College of the Arts, says the short-film festival, which is scheduled to take place April 15 at the Logan Arthouse, will have a different vibe than in past years.Jonathan Ribera, co-owner of the Logan Arthouse, says the goal is to make this film festival a little more like Sundance, except with a four-minute limit.
