Students trying to raise money for Japan relief efforts

Utah State Uiversity’s Japan Club and Associated Students of Utah State University are raising money for the victims of the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The goal is to collect $15,000 by April 4.ASUSU’s administrative assistant Keenan Nuehring says students hope to go beyond campus to raise the money. The Japan Club is also making t-shirts to sell for relief funds.Brett Campbell, president of the Japan Club, says the Club had just started when the natural disaster occurred. He says the club constitution was developed over Spring Break.All of the money raised will be given to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
