Sky View dominates Salem Hills, 67-47, to advance in 4A State Playoffs

The Sky View Bobcats started their postseason off in the right way, defeating the Salem Hills Sky Hawks by a score of 67-47 in the first round of the 4A State Playoffs. Sky View jumped out to an early lead of 12 points, and lead by double digits for most of the night. The Bobcats received a balanced scoring effort from numerous players. Casey Oliverson put up a game-high 18 points. Jordan Neilsen and Grayson Moore also reached double figures, scoring 14 and 12 points, respectively. Sky View had a significant advantage, size-wise, and it showed as the Bobcats beat Salem Hills in the rebounding department by a margin of 40-28.Salem Hills struggled from the field for most of the night, as they only shot 26%. Jake Skinner scored 11 points and Landon Siminson had 10 in a losing effort.The Bobcats will face the winner of Lehi and Dixie, as the two schools played each other directly after Sky View’s win. The Bobcats’ next game will tip-off on Thursday afternoon at about 2 PM and can be heard on KLGN 1390 AM/103.3 FM.
