The chairman of the Cache County Republican Party says he is upset with what the Utah legislature is doing on Utah’s Capitol Hill. David James says his complaint is 800 bills, which he says is far too many.”We are in the midst of a wave, and particularly with a Republican-dominated legislature, where people are saying very strongly, ‘we want limited government,'” James says. “You don’t get limited government with 800 bills.”James says he hears complaints about some of the bills being nonsensical, such as one that wold designate a day to clean up your cupboard. James says he thinks it is the legislature that needs to be cleaned up so the important work can be completed.James says one of his big concerns right now is that the price of gasoline is going up and if it continues it could cause a lot of trouble with the economy.
