<strong>Sky View moves into first place in Region 5, defeating Ogden 55-39</strong>

The Sky View Bobcats dominated the Ogden Tigers on Friday night, winning by a score of 55-39. The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead, and never looked back, holding a double-digit lead for the majority of the game.It was a team effort for the Bobcats, as many players scored. Casey Oliverson had a game-high 13 points. Ty Nielsen and Riley Knowles also contributed, scoring 11 and nine points, respectively. The win, combined with a Box Elder loss to Mountain Crest, puts Sky View in sole possession of first place in Region 5. -Weston Mangum

<strong>Mustangs top Box Elder, 53-47</strong>

Mountain Crest wins their second straight game at home Friday night against Box Elder. It was a closely contested match all the way through, with the score staying within a possession or two. However, Mountain Crest was able to give themselves some room in the fourth quarter. The final score, Mountain Crest 53 Box Elder 47.-Todd Olsen

<strong>Logan loses to Lakers, 39-33</strong>

In a low-scorer (tied at only 8 at the end of the 1st Qtr), poor shooting affected the Logan High Grizzlies as they fell to Bonneville 39 – 33 at home. The Grizz are now 3-7 and at the bottom of the region with the loss.-Bill Walter

<strong>Bear River knocks off Juan Diego, 74-66</strong>

Juan Diego shot and made a lot of 3 pointers. Luckily for the Bears, they weren’t too shabby themselves. In a run and gun game, it was the Bears who came out on top with a 74-66 win over Juan Diego.The Bears shot 7-10 from 3 point land, and shot 57% from the charity stripe helping the Bears lead the majority of the game. Coach Winters said it was a complete team win. Taylor Ramsdale started off the 3 point barrage with two 3s in the first quarter. Brady Jensen scored a season high 25 points for the Bears who improved to 6-2 in Region 11 and, barring a meltdown at Grantsville next Wednesday night, they’ll take on Judge Memorial in what could be the region championship showdown next Friday night in Garland for Senior Night.-Ajay Salveson
