Preston teacher receives big grant to use iPads while teaching history

Preston Junior High School teacher Melinda Harris has been awarded a $9,700 technology grant from Quest Communications. The money will allow 8th grade students at Preston Middle School to incorporate iPod touches, iPads and accompanying educational software into their U.S. History classes. According to the Preston Citizen, Harris was among 10 teachers in Idaho who received Quest grants which are administered by the State Board of Education.
