Cache County School District educators receive funds

Amidst educational budget cuts and an increase in classroom sizes, the Cache County School District educators just received much needed funds. Each year, the Cache Education Foundation (CEF) sponsors a golf tournament to raise funds for our “Tools for Schools” mini grants ($250 or less). Teachers apply for these grants and request non-consumable items such as books, math manipulatives, science equipment and more. This year, the Cache Education Foundation is pleased to announce that we have funded $103,763 in “Tools for Schools” grants! This is our largest funding round in the 21 year history of the CEF. We would like to express our thanks to Matt Robbins (Quality 1st Insurance) and Stan Checketts (Diversified Mortgage) for chairing this event each year. In addition, our sincere gratitude is extended to those who participated in our golf tournament at the Logan Golf & Country Club to raise funds for this purpose. The major donors for this year include: The Dell Loy and Lynette Hansen Charitable Support Trust, ARS, iFrogz, Cache Valley Radio Group, USU Charter Credit Union, Wal-Mart, Campbell Scientific and the Cache Education Foundation. For any questions in regard to the CEF, please contact our Executive Director, Teri Lewis, at 755-2022.
