Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 7 for Deanna Edwards, a Cache Valley icon who used her musical talents to bring peace to the sick, the elderly and the dying. Edwards’ funeral will take place at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan. Edwards died Wednesday night of heart failure at the age of 67. Earlier she traveled thousands of miles each year conducting workshops using music in her lectures. Edwards also spent many hours doing therapeutic work with patients and individuals, including local residents. Edwards and her husband Cliff were founders of Rock Canyon Music Publishers. She has written over 300 songs, produced 15 recordings and published three books including “Grieving: The Pain and the Promise.”
