County council says goodbye to Chambers

Tuesday’s meeting of the Cache County Council was the last for Brian Cambers who chose not to seek re-election after serving two four year terms as a council member.Council Chairman Gordon Zilles, who has served with Chambers six of his eight years, had high praise for the work Chambers has done. He said Chambers has a great ability to bring his knowledge and history together and apply them to what needs to be done.”Brian is a great friend,” Zilles said after the meeting, “and I truly admire him and wish him the best in the future at whatever he decides to do. He’s a true friend and a true statesman.”Other members of the council also said Chambers will be sorely missed. He was the only Democrat on the seven-member council and he will be replaced by Republican Val Potter, who defeated Democratic candidate Mark Daines last November.
