Miami Dolphins add former Aggie Kevin Curtis

The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Kevin Curtis and placed tackle Vernon Carey on Injured Reserve. Curtis, a eight-year NFL veteran, has appeared in 79 career games with 36 of those in a starting role, he entered the league as a third round draft choice of the St. Louis Rams (74th overall) in 2003. He spent four seasons with the Rams prior to joining the Philadelphia Eagles as an unrestricted free agent in 2007. Curtis set career highs with the Eagles during the 2007 season with 77 receptions for 1,110 yards and eight touchdowns. Originally a walk-on at Utah State in 2000, Curtis lead the nation in receptions per game in 2001 as a redshirt junior, he earned a scholarship as a senior in 2002 and went on to garner All-America honors that year. Curtis finished his career as the school’s all-time leader in receptions. (171) and ranked 2nd in yards. (2,789). Prior to joining the Aggies, he played two seasons at Snow (UT) Junior College (1996-97), before serving an LDS mission from 1998-99. Born Kevin Deevon Curtis on July 17, 1978 in Murray, Utah, Curtis attended Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah.
