Continuing a longstanding tradition, Angie’s Restaurant owner Saboor Sahely will again offer a free Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at Angie’s. “We will be open between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving,” said General Manager Bry Spring, “and we will serve our Thanksgiving dinner starting at 11 a.m. until closing time at 2 p.m. It’s a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings and it is free of charge.” Angie’s has designated the Cache County Food Pantry as its local charity this year. “There will be a donation jar up front for anyone who is able to make a donation for the price of their meal and all of those funds will go to the Food Pantry,” said Spring. Spring said about 900 people were served last year, the 18th year Angie’s has sponsored the free dinner, and he expects this week’s crowd to be about the same. “This involves extra crew, extra food and extra staffing,” said Spring, “and we’re glad we’re able to do it.”
