Bradley disagrees with Lee, balanced budget amendment not necessary

Two candidates for U.S. Senate, Democrat Sam Granato and Republican Mike Lee, held their final debate Thursday, Oct. 28, and once again Constitution Party candidate Scott Bradley was excluded from the debate.Bradley says if he’d been in the debate he would have disagreed with Mike Lee who has called for a balanced budget amendment. On KVNU’s For the People program Thursday, Bradley said the balanced budget amendments currently being kicked around all have an escape clause. He says that would allow deficit spending to continue if it is agreed to by 60 senators and 26 members of the House of Representatives.”We don’t need a balanced budget amendment,” Bradley said. “We can restore to the original intent. We can keep the budget under the level that will be deficit and we can do that constitutionally by just insisting that those who represent us only vote constitutionally.”A resident of North Logan, Bradley may have been excluded from the debates but he says he has been invited to appear at campaign forums all over the state.
