Some are calling it a climate-centered chat on a hot topic. The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art at Utah State University will host special guest Robert Davies for a public lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 12 on the topic “Getting Through: Communicating Earth’s Changing Climate.” The lecture starts at 7 p.m. at the museum and the free lecture is open to the public. Davies is an associate of the Utah Climate Center and he teaches physics and the physics of climate change at USU. He also serves on Logan’s Renewable Energy Advisory Board and continues to be heavily engaged in public climate change education. In his lecture, Davies will overview the evidence of the current climate predicament and discuss societal barriers to understanding and internalizing the predicament. He will also discuss he efforts of others in overcoming these cultural and emotional barriers. After his lecture, Davies will answer questions from the public explaining the varied and contributing factors of climate change.
