A warm welcome awaited Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate Sam Granato in Logan Tuesday night. At a town hall meeting, Granato said his support has been growing and the 3,000th “Republicans for Granato” lawn sign has just been printed. Granato called himself the “mainstream candidate” and referred to Republican candidate Mike Lee as an “extreme” candidate who wants to do away with such programs as Medicare and raise the Social Security age to 75. He is down in the polls but Granato says his support is growing and he plans to win on November 2, “one vote at a time.” Granato told those attending that as a small business owner he knew how to create jobs and, if elected, he plans to, “live in Utah and visit Washington.”
