Cache County Fair and Rodeo raises funds for Cancer Center

2010 will go down as a highly successful year for the Cache County Fair and Rodeo. Last night, county clerk and fair manager Jill Zollinger told the Cache County Council the total budget this year was $150,810. She said revenues came in at $185,676 for a profit of almost $35,000. Zollinger said she was also pleased with the participation in the “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” campaign which raised money for the Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Center. “This year we raised $2,324 to go to our Cancer Center here,” Zollinger said. “We’re going to try to make this even a bigger opportunity for people to donate because we like the fact that it stays right here in our county and is helping individuals here that suffer with some needs that they need to go to the Cancer Center for.” Zollinger thanked the Cache County Fair and Rodeo committee members, many of whom were in attendance at the council meeting.
