Providence City is officially opening its newly-constructed Splash Pad July 24. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the first-of-its kind water feature in Cache Valley will be held at Alma Leonhardt Park, 310 West 250 North in Providence. The ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. with remarks from former Providence City mayor Alma Leonhardt. The button will be pushed at 10 a.m. for all that want to play and have fun in the Splash Pad. The Splash Pad features a series of water fountains that children can play in to beat the heat.
