The Utah Festival Opera Company, which opens its 2010 season this week, wants to say thanks to the people of Cache Valley. The UFOC’s founder and general director Michael Ballam says all county residents and year-round citizens will get 50 percent off a regular priced ticket to the performance of “The Sound of Music” on Saturday July 10. The limit is two tickets per person and cannot be combined with any other offer. Ballam says it’s the UFOC’s way of showing its thanks to the residents for the support it gets from the RAPZ and restaurant tax funds. Residents will need to go to the box office at the Dansante, provide proof of residency and get the tickets at the reduced price.
