Logan’s David Maxwell has reached round two of the worldwide “Next Top Author” competition with his book titled Everyone’s Different and That’s Okay. Maxwell said the competition was originated by a couple of authors wanting to give more exposure to new authors, knowing how difficult it is to get into the publishing world. “The book was inspired by the last couple of years of parenting” said Maxwell, “and started to come into focus just a few weeks before this competition came into my life.” Maxwell said his book offers ideas on how to live a more conscious, connected life. “It’s intended to help people in personal transformation as well as initiate global transformation towards a better way of living.” Maxwell said the book wasn’t written for his children but is based on simple concepts he has taught them. “These are concepts a lot of us learned like ‘use your words’ or ‘we all get to choose’ and, of course, ‘everyone’s different and that’s okay.’ These are expanded in the book with ideas on how to use them in every level of life to help us improve the way that we’re living.” Maxwell said if he receives enough votes in the next round he will advance to the top 25. “But, I need votes and anyone who wants to support me can go to nexttopauthor.com and type in Maxwell in the search field and it’s easy to vote from there. Once the top 25 is determined the public no longer has a vote.” The winner receives a publishing contract with Hampton Roads Publishing and the opportunity to share a message with a wide audience.
