Karl Rove, the former senior adviser to George W. Bush and so-called architect of the Bush presidency will be in Logan on April 28 at Border’s for a book signing. Rove will be at the 1050 N. Main location at 6 p.m. to sign copies of his March-released book, “Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight.” The book signing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. To take part in this event, patrons must have a wristband. Borders will begin distributing wristbands with the purchase of Courage and Consequence when the store opens at 10 a.m. Previously purchased copies must be stickered when checking in for the event. The signing line will begin forming at 4 p.m. Rove has been a highly active member of the Republican Party since he was in his early twenties. At age 22, he ran the National College Republicans. He has been nicknamed “The Architect” for his propensity to orchestrate tough GOP victories. Courage and Consequence is Rove’s most recent book. In it, Rove “responds to critics, passionately articulates his political philosophy, and defends the choices he made on the campaign trail and in the White House.” During the height of one of the most headline-making presidencies of the modern age, Rove has been at the highest level to witness it all. This book will be the first behind-the-scenes account of the George W. Bush Presidency. Rove’s stop is one of three in Utah. He will also visit Provo earlier on Thursday, April 28 and on April 29 he will visit a bookstore in Murray.
