It’s a night a lot of people have been waiting for. On Saturday, March 27, the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra with Craig Jessop conducting will perform Franz Joseph Haydn’s The Creation in the Kent Concert Hall of the Utah State University Chase Fine Arts Center.Jessop, who is head of the Music and Theatre Departments at USU, and is founder and director of the American Festival Chorus calls The Creation, “an extravagant portrayal of the beauty and wonders of creation” and says it has been a hit since its premier in the 1800’s.Jessop says the soloists, Soprano Cindy Dewey, Tenor Cory Evans and award-winning baritone Clayton Brainerd, will add a special dimension. Tickets are available at the Caine School of the Arts box office in the Chase Fine Arts Center room 139-B and at the Ellen Eccles Theatre in downtown Logan.
