Teams from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University competed at the state H.R. Games on February 27 and returned with top honors, placing first and second. This is the ninth year in a row that teams from the Huntsman School of Business have placed first in the state competition. Winning the competition takes more than just luck according to the group’s faculty advisors. The two three-person teams started preparing for the games last fall by dissecting human resource concepts including strategic management, workforce planning and employment, human resource development, employee and labor relations and total rewards and risk management. Sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management, the competition is preliminary to regional competition and conference held this year in Albuquerque, New Mexico March 26 and 27.
