Diners at Logan’s Texas Roadhouse Tuesday (March 9) will automatically contribute to the Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Center with the purchase of a meal. Ten percent of proceeds from restaurant patrons will go to the Logan Regional Hospital Foundation to benefit cancer services at the hospital. “We will have a hospital representative at the Texas Roadhouse Tuesday,” said Christina Roberts, the hospital foundation’s development coordinator. “If you are interested in coming to support the Cancer Center we’ll have coupons at the restaurant and ten percent of the cost of your meal will go to the Cancer Center.””We appreciate the support of Texas Roadhouse and the ongoing support of our community for our Cancer Center,” said Bob Cash, Logan Regional Hospital CEO in a press release. “We are pleased that hundreds of cancer patients have been able to stay close to home for world-class radiation therapy treatment.” This summer the Cancer Center celebrates a full year in operation. “It’s definitely serving a need in the community,” said Roberts. “Prior to it being built Cache Valley residents had to drive to either Ogden or Salt Lake City to receive treatment.” Roberts said the Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Center has provided thousands of radiation-therapy treatments to local cancer patients. The medical oncology (chemotherapy) office of Dr. Ali Ben-Jacob is also housed in the Cancer Center.
