Here is the bracket for the boys 4A State Basketball Tournament: Tuesday’s matchups (Played at home schools)
<strong>Upper bracket</strong>
Springville (13-8) at Pine View (9-12), 7 p.m. Woods Cross (11-11) at Provo (17-3), 7 p.m. Tooele (11-11) at Mountain Crest (15-4), 7 p.m. Orem (9-14) at Bountiful (15-6), 7 p.m.
<strong>Lower bracket</strong>
Olympus (18-3) at Sky View (16-5), 7 p.m. Timpview (14-7) at Snow Canyon (8-12), 7 p.m. Highland (12-10) at Salem Hills (11-10), 7 p.m. Box Elder (13-9) at Lehi (18-3), 7 p.m. The next rounds will be held at the Dee Events Center in Ogden Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Good teams here except for Snow Canyon and Pine View but anything can happen in a single elimination tournament. In the upper bracket Provo shines with BYU recruit Kyle Collinsworth (6’6) who some say is the best player ever to play at the school (sorry Stew). Mountain Crest is on a tear led by Matt Stewart and company, and Bountiful is led by a three point shooter McKay LaSalle who has 71 treys on the year. In the lower bracket there might be an upset brewing in Smithfield tonight and Timpview is always a tough team to deal with. Lehi looks like it could go deep into this tournament. My pick: Provo Bulldogs take another one.
