Logan ordered to pay $10,000 fine for dumping polluted water

Logan City has been ordered to pay a $10,000 fine for dumping polluted water into Cutler Reservoir,

<a href=”” target=””>The Salt Lake Tribune reports.</a>

The punishment was issued Tuesday in response to a May 2005 incident when a former landfill manager reportedly dumped thousands of gallons of ammonia-contaminated water into a roadside ditch. The ditch drained into Cutler Reservoir and was a violation of the Clean Water Act, The Tribune reported. Randall Cook was the landfill manager in question and he had already pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge similar to the city’s. Last year he was sentenced to two days in jail.
