Rich County search officials reported Monday that three snowmobilers were in good condition after going missing Sunday night in the Curtis Creek area of Monte Cristo.According to sheriff’s reports, the group — a 22-year-old woman, and 24- and 46-year-old men, had been snowmobiling together, but when it was time to come out, the two younger people never showed up. The older man refueled his snowmobile and went back to look for the missing snowmobilers Sunday night, but he didn’t come back out.Family members reportedly contacted sheriff’s officials when the group was overdue from returning.Search and rescue crews, including a group from Cache County, searched the area, but visibility was poor due to a severe ground blizzard. Despite the poor conditions, however, Rich County crews found the 46-year-old man and brought him to safety. The search continued until 4 a.m. when it was called off for the night and resumed at 6:30 a.m. The two other snowmobilers were well-equipped for an overnight event, however, and were found at about 10:30 a.m.Sheriff’s officials say the two were cold but in good health, and neither needed medical attention. The victims were Tim Herold, Mason Ochinero and RanDee Herold, all reportedly of Wyoming.
