Funeral services are being held Monday for one of Cache Valley’s most respected former state lawmakers, Charles “Chic” Bullen. Bullen died on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the age of 90.The Republican was responsible for some of the most important legislation passed during the 14 years he served. First in the House of Representatives from 1971 to 1976 and then in the Utah Senate from 1977 to 1984.According to a report in the Salt Lake Tribune, the Logan businessman was referred to by former Governor Norm Bangerter as a man who played no partisan politics but instead worked hard to represent all residents. Bangerter said Chic Bullen was a very logical, capable and competent public servant.Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary.
