Bridger Park a high priority for Watts’ second term

When Logan Mayor Randy Watts took over his job four years ago he had eight major goals and he was pleased to say all of those were accomplished in his first term. Watts is making plans for a second term now and Bridger Park in northwest Logan is high on the list.”The land’s been acquired,” Watts says. “Some things have happened, topsoil has been brought in. But it needs to have it’s irrigation system put in, a playground, some of those kinds of things, trees planted.”Watts says that planning continue to take place with the city’s Park and Recreation officials. “Visiting with Russ Akina,” Watts continued, “it’s reachable within the next few years and that’s going to be one of my things on my list to accomplish so that those people in that section of town will have a nice park to take their kids to and enjoy open space.”Mayor Watts says it’s a heavily populated part of the city, enrollment is increasing at the nearby Bridger Elementary School and a park will now be a top priority.
