Local farm turned into live nativity for Christmas season

Once again this year people can experience the true meaning of Christmas at the Morgan farm in Nibley. There will be a Live Nativity Friday, December 4th and on Monday, December 7th from 5 to 9 p.m.Founder and Director Richard Eversull says it’s a simple setting in the milking side of the old barn that is reminiscent of 100 years ago or even 2,000 years ago.”We just have the actors sit up there with some warm lighting on them,” Eversull explains. “We play a tape of Burl Ives reading the nativity from the scriptures.”Eversull also says people who attend are welcome to linger after the live nativity re-enactment. “People can wander around, drink some hot chocolate, talk, listen to carols, visit with one-another, look at Moses the camel and little donkeys and sheep and other little animals.”Eversull says it’s a benefit event for the Cache Community Food Pantry and Options for Independence. Admission is one canned food item per person, or one dollar per person and five dollars per family. More generous donations will be gladly accepted. The Morgan farm is located at 2800 South 800 West in Nibley. For more information, call 213-0033.
