Once again Utah State University students are engaged in the “Stuff-A-Bus” project and the object is to raise money and collect toys to help both the Sub-for-Santa program and the Cache Community Food Pantry. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Brittany Ingles said volunteers with the Val R. Christensen Service Center have different campus groups competing to raise money through a game called “Penny Wars.”Ingles says the students are working closely with businesses in an event the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, on November 27th.”We’ll be standing outside both ShopKo and the south location of WalMart handing out hot chocolate,” said Ingles. “We’ve got a lot of volunteers that are going to be there. “We’ll have buses parked out front just to talk to people about the opportunities to donate and also, just as people are shopping for their own Christmas, presents ask if they can pick up an extra toy or give us their spare change.”She says there will be a similar event on December 5th at different locations.
