Construction on the lower Franklin Basin Bridge is now complete and the road is open to through traffic until snow levels make it impassable to all vehcles. Utah-Wasatch-Cache National Forest spokeswoman Kathy Jo Pollock says when there is sufficient snow base the road will then be open to over-snow machines.The Temple Fork Road remains closed for public safety as crews continue to work on the lower brige replacement which should be completed in early December. Mid and high elevation gates on the Logan Ranger District roads will close Sunday, November 15th as a protective measure against the impacts of wet winter travel.Pollock says the forest service manages these roads for seasonal recreational opportunities as well as for wildlife, watershed and transportation resources. She says remember ‘Know Before You Go” which areas are open to motorized use and which are managed for non-motorized Nordic uses and for wildlife protection.
