Logan Mayor Randy Watts is happy that he was re-elected to a second term in Tuesday’s municipal election but Watts admits there were also disappointments. He says the turnout was better than it was for the Primary but he was disappointed that it wasn’t better. Watts says he was also disappointed that there so many negative attacks in the campaign. “From the get-go I thought that maybe my track record would carry itself,” Watts says. “When I realized I was running against three people and the caucus,” he continues, “everything from all of those, the group and the three individuals were throwing a lot of arrows and I had to combat it all because I was the incumbent and everybody else was new members coming on with Steve and Tami stepping away from a long career in government, I was the only one they could come after.” It’s over now and Watts says he will soon be making a list of the goals he wants to accomplish during the next four years.
