The First Presbyterian Church of Logan is hosting a free community education program Sunday concerning issues that lead to domestic violence and how to avoid abusive behavior. There will be separate sessions for adults, teenagers and children. The public is invited to the program which begins with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. in Bruner Hall. Group sessions will focus on how to build healthy relationships and avoid abusive behavior. Children will learn ways to help build harmonious groups and deal with bullies, be safe at home and how to call 911. The church is located at the corner of Center Street and 200 West. Thirty years ago local Presbyterians helped organize CAPSA and they continue to provide financial and volunteer support. The Church recently received a grant to finance a new, updated phone system for the agency’s crisis hotline.
